They will be no changes made without biological backup said the twra😂 well that went over like a turd in the punch bowl, as we all seen when they dropped the buck limit to please the horn porn crowd
This isn't entirely true. There is a biological basis for herd health being impacted by out of ratio deer populations. (Especially considering we are killing 60% bucks/40% does in many counties).

Regardless of that, the horn porn crowd buys a lot of licenses. There SHOULD be a compromise here.

HP wants one buck limit. BID (Brown is Down) wanted to stay at 3.

We end up with 2. Not sure there was a better way to handle that one.

Sure there was, stop taking away opportunities from law abiding license buyers. No there wasnt a biological reason behind it look up the sats on how many actually were killing three, it done nothing but take opportunity away from prople who dont have the does to kill for meat , if they want any deer to hunt.

Gave some input on a couple things for this time. I have done so many many times in the past, including on the definition of youth for the juvenile hunt back when it used to be 10-16 year old allowed to hunt those hunts nearly 20 years ago. My oldest daughter hunted regular rifle season as an 8 and 9 year old because she didn't qualify for the juvenile hunts at that time. Bringing up points can make a difference. The following year they changed that reg.

We will see.

It was never about reducing the number of people who killed 3 bucks. It was about reducing the number that killed 2. And making hunters more selective with that 2nd buck.

Up until CWD that appeared to be working as intended.

You may want to kill 3 bucks for meat, but your neighbor may want to harvest a mature buck for antlers. You both have very different goals that don't overlap. Both people's wishes have to be considered. Hence, we are at the 2 buck limit.
