I have a 77/22 in the all weather boat paddle. It was the first gun my dad gave me in probably 93ish. I will have to dig it out of the safe to get a picture. It's not the most accurate 22 I have but I have killed a bunch of stuff with it.
Those boat paddle stocks are the ones I've had. Only have the 7 Rem Mag now. Had a 223 and 308 too.

I found it years ago and bought it . Figured i needed a spare cause they extremely hard to come by themselves and sell for a few hundred dollars on ebay ! Actually was gonna have it hydro dipped in camo but never got around to it ! Guess if i find a blue m77 i would drop it into the stock so i had s matching pair

Hails in comparison to a .223 for sure, however unlike most of us… it has hung on for over 100 years. 22H is and was its best at 200 yards & under. They have an undeniable following as well .. which is also somewhat hard to understand given the price of ammo. Yet.. at the ridiculous high prices - they still sell online daily.
Ive got a hornet in a 14" contender. I was looking at reloading data for it and was blown away to see a load listed for the 40gr bullet at over 2900fps! Granted, its not QUITE a 223, but its not near as far off as I thought it was!
