I was looking at that also. Did they quit making it in .22LR? All the web site shows is .22 Hornet, I wouldn't want that.

I have a 77/22 in the all weather boat paddle. It was the first gun my dad gave me in probably 93ish. I will have to dig it out of the safe to get a picture. It's not the most accurate 22 I have but I have killed a bunch of stuff with it.

I have an early one - ones you could easily change the barrels out. Factory walnut stock with custom inletting to allow my aftermarket 22WMR and 17HMR barrels to be easily interchanged. For the record.. I love this rifle

I have nothing against it. I just don't need to add another caliber, especially in rimfire. I'm just going to use it to shoot paper.

I have a heavy taper ss/laminated Ruger 77 in 22 hornet.. Wish it were a standard weight 77 honestly.

Very nice! I think I'd like to have one…. Would probably trade a loaded out mint Mathews Traverse for one. Also thinking about a CZ also. Can't make my mind up…

I have a 77/17 with walnut stock. It looks like a baby 77 short action. Everything about it is proportionally smaller. It's a cool lil gun.

I have the walnut 77/22 and also the walnut 77/22 hornet. Absolutely my favorite 22's. Love'um.

The hornet is center fire, lowest of the low as far as I know, was a popular ground hog gun at 1 time but ballistics are not pretty.

Actually got a m77 7 mag in stainless boat paddle with a spare boat paddle as well waiting for a blue m77 to go into it. And a 10/22 stainless boat paddle rifle but no other stock to match it to ! Always been very pleased with the m77 mkii series of rugers !! Although they are increasingly incredibly i will still collect them when they come up

The hornet is center fire, lowest of the low as far as I know, was a popular ground hog gun at 1 time but ballistics are not pretty.

Hails in comparison to a .223 for sure, however unlike most of us… it has hung on for over 100 years. 22H is and was its best at 200 yards & under. They have an undeniable following as well .. which is also somewhat hard to understand given the price of ammo. Yet.. at the ridiculous high prices - they still sell online daily.

I've got one in .22 from the mid-80's. It only had cci mini-mags and bulk ammo through it and it shoots both equally well.

It's been awhile and I haven't shot paper with it since probably the 80's, but I used to shoot bottle caps at 50 yards with it.

I need to did it back out and see what it can do with some good ammo. I so wish it had come with a threaded barrel.

I had one in 22lr but I sold it like a dummy. I have the heavy barrel laminate in 22 Hornet, it would take a fortune to get me to part with it. Probably my favorite firearm.

I have it's twin with a Zeiss mounted on it.. and I feel the same about parting with it

22 K-Hornet is better…. It actually has a sharp shoulder that makes the brass last for many, many reloads. Regular Hornets have such a long slope to the shoulder the brass stretches crazy quick. Not so with the K-Hornet.

I found that fire-forming regular Hornet brass is as easy as shooting it once…. But you have to anneal the brass first or it has a tendency to crack. That's pretty easy, too. Just heat the neck to just shy of cherry red using a drill and 3/8" socket to turn it for a few seconds in a propane flame. Drop it into a pail of water, and viola…. Dry it, load it, shoot it, you have K-Hornet brass.

I have it in an TC Encore barrel. My favorite caliber.
