"Super" El Niño, heard a meteorologist say yesterday that it's a possibility for this year. He even referenced 2016, which was devastating to fall plots. Think we had 35" rain that year....

Don't know, first time I've heard Super used. I do remember that 2016 really sucked. Seem like we got 1/4" of rain Sept & Oct after planting...

I hope some people that keep up with his stuhg jump on this. I thought we have been in an el nino but maybe we have been in a la nino. Unsure of all the differences. Would like to know.

We have been in a strong La Nina for three years. Right now we are transitioning to El Nino, and it might be a very strong one.

La Nina usually causes hotter and drier summers for us, while El Nino is associated with cooler and wetter summers.

The transition from la nino to el nino makes it sound like it should be plastered on a bud light can.
