I would go with winter wheat or rye. See what others on here think. My opinion is nothing is as green in late season as winter wheat. Sometimes it is so green it looks fake. The deer love it.

Completely agree. Both of those are in our blends because they grow in the bitter cold. Rye more so than wheat

As others have said, wheat and crimson clover. I've planted that mixture as late as the last week of October and still had green food plots during November.
