Food Plots When to plant

Ok I am going to plant corn for late season deer hunting never planted corn so when do you plant corn to have it brown for November and December?

I always plant at the end of June up to July4. An Amish man said you can get a field of corn to grow if you get rain up till July 4th and so far he's been right. My daughter and I always plant my late corn together and many times it's right on the 4 th. Rain is the main issue. Everything loves corn so plant 3-5 acres or it'll be gone.
