My son and I stopped by Reloaders Bench in Mt. Juliet to kill some time and pick up some brass. Browsing through the racks I picked up a CZ 'Farmer' bolt action .22LR. The owner priced it at $209 plus tax etc so I couldn't leave it behind. The Farmer is the basic no frills CZ with a beechwood stock and has a medium taper 20 inch barrel. It has the Euro hogback stock which really fits nicely when brought to the shoulder. Brought it home and it is a real shooter too-at least with iron sights. My boys have CZ scout rifles so I am familiar with the great CZ .22 action. They can't be beat for the money and are basically all steel and wood. I don't think anyone makes a better .22 rifle unless you go to the high end Kimbers, Coopers, and Anschutz at 4 to 5x the price. Anyway still on the 'new rifle' high-lol. Plateau Hunter
