Natchez is having a good sell on turkey optics if your looking
Because i can either see the bead or the target not both at the same time, if not for red dots or scopes i wouldnt be able to ethically turkey hunt because of my eyesI still don't understand why anyone would mess with all the crap that goes into a red dot when most modern shottys have a fiber optic front bead, not knocking anyone who uses a optic just don't see the difference, would love to hear opinions
This is the main reason I went to one. I used a scope with turkey plex reticle and when I got a different gun I tried to stick with the fiber optic sites and missed a couple. I was raising up and not staying down on the gun causing me to miss so went to a FF3.the MAJOR benefit to red dots minus old eyes, is it doesnt require you to have a perfect line from eye to bead. If you have an off hand shot or have to shoot in a non normal situation then a red dot is ideal. If the dot is on it then its dead vs you dont have a perfect cheek weld on the gun so now you shoot high or left or right.
When I started needing cheater glasses if I focused on the front bead the mid bead was out of focus and vice-versa.Because i can either see the bead or the target not both at the same time, if not for red dots or scopes i wouldnt be able to ethically turkey hunt because of my eyes

Mine came with a shade that pops on. I haven't used it though as I just put the FF3 on last year.I really liked my ff3 until i almost lost a bird not able to see through the optic. Luckily was able to get my hand up and use it as a sun shade over the optic. Morning sun was coming up and ended up right in my face where we were sitting in the woods. You can't see crap through it with the sun shining in the front of it
