Remington 700 ADL 24" 1-8" twist barrel vs Tikka T3X Lite 22" 1-8" twist barrel vs Remington 783 22" 1-9 twist barrel

.223 Rem. Witch rifle and twist rate?

Use on ground hogs, crow, armadillos, coyote and maybe whitetail?

Probably not do deer but I use it as a gauge on performance.

If you are going .223 check out the new CVA Cascade. Keep reading great reviews on them. I've not personally shot one but I do have a friend I run into periodically at the range that does and he's only got great things to say about it. He has the XT version, which I believe is the top of the line and is a "precision" rifle. They have Bergara barrels too if I'm not mistaken and those Bergara are some really fine high tolerance barrels.

783 = no. I want to like the 700 more than a tikka, but I feel like with the lack of consistency Remington has had lately, Tikka is the right choice. They are hard to beat right now for knowing what you're getting right out of the box

What are your thoughts on the Howa Legacy M1500 .223 Rem.?

I am looking at new guns manly because people selling used do not know the twist rate, length of pull or weight of their rifles and they often want new price.

I've got an older 700, a fairly newish 783 (308 Win) which I have to say is a tack driver but cheap, several Savages, and a couple CVA's. I've got 1 Tikka in the T3 .270 Win. I wish every caliber I shoot was a Tikka. I like all my guns, I love that Tikka!

I'd take the Model 700 ADL Varmint, R85417 at $598.99 over the standard Model 700 ADL, R84600 at $520.99, just because of the heavy barrel.

I hear that Tikka makes good stuff, but I don't buy foreign. I don't know anything about the 783 other than seeing articles saying it almost compares to the 700. So, I wouldn't personally consider either of those.

I haven't bought anything used in awhile for that very reason.
