I do not get the severe reaction like allergy to fat in soap. I have incredible stomach pain after eating red meat or pork. The pain lasts for about 8 hours and is crippling.
I picked up what is now known as Alpha Gal Allergy in 1991, long before it was discovered. Took about 20 years of not touching beef or other fatty meats for it to go away. Yet, although I can now eat any meat without allergic reactions, to this day certain foods give me the same symptoms as you - crippling stomach/intestinal cramps. Both of my sisters that have/had Alpha Gal also have this symptom.
