Same here. Great scopes but I better not drop em. My wife got me my first Leupold for Christmas, just a compact low power from their Freedom line for my Marlin so I think they'll be okWell I think I'm done with lifetime warranty's, have 2 scopes with lifetime, Redfield, went out of business and sold the name=no warranty, Nikon still in business= stopped making or repairing/selling them= no warranty SOL to me. not going to invest any more $$ , hate to run another company out of business
me too on my kimber and featherweight 30/06. the perfect scope for a light gunI have the same scope on a Winchester Featherweight 7-08
Similar stories I have heard about their CS. Brother had one replaced. Very good scopes and warranty!Bought a rifle from a member here a little while back had a Leupold VX-III-1.75-6x32 on it, you needed a set of Vise Grips to turn the power selector up or down so I boxed it up sent it back to Leupold, just got an email from Leupold .
Dear Loyal Leupold Customer
Upon inspection of your product , we have determined that it is in need of replacement under warranty. We will be sending you a "VX-3HD 2.5-8x36 CDS-ZL Duplex" as your warranty replacement.
This is why I been shooting Leupold for a little over 50 years. I had one other issue with a Leupold in all these years that was took care of promptly. Not here to say they are the best, but they have suited me for a lot of years and I own several.
They said they would start building more VX-3HD 2.5-8x36 in January and I would be getting one of the first ones. True to there word, 2nd day of Feb and UPS just delivered it.Bought a rifle from a member here a little while back had a Leupold VX-III-1.75-6x32 on it, you needed a set of Vise Grips to turn the power selector up or down so I boxed it up sent it back to Leupold, just got an email from Leupold .

I own over 2 dozen Leupold scopes not one time have I had any trouble out of them you click it twice and I will bet my life it will move a half inch at 100. I can't attest to the warranty because I have never had to use it. My primary rifle had a Leupold on it for 25 years before I upgraded and every year the zero never moved from numerous flights to being dropped 30 foot from a tree stand. I did own a Nikon once it was thrown in the trash. I have a Swarovski on my backup and have no problem with it.I can't and won't buy a product that doesn't work. Leupold will not hold zero and its adjustments suck. Move two clicks expecting 1/2" and you might get 1/4"- 5/8" off movement.
I still have plenty, but that's my experience with Leupold. I run nightforce nowadays.
Ive owned one Nightforce in my days and I have to say it was a great scope. I was able to sell it for more than I paid for it after 5 years of service life and move that into something else. They are a great optic that are not only dependable but hold their value.Leupold's are good scopes but I prefer nightforce.
With all due respect, my experience and yours are TOTALLY opposite! Ive got 4 rifles I run dope on and they ALL move what they should and return to zero.I can't and won't buy a product that doesn't work. Leupold will not hold zero and its adjustments suck. Move two clicks expecting 1/2" and you might get 1/4"- 5/8" off movement.
