Official 2016/2017 Deer Season Kill Thread

Big 8 old wide heavy buck. I have had on cam about 95 percent nocturnal. Not sure on exact age but an old deer for east tn. Have several years of trail cam pics. Jeremy made a move to a random tree and got him about 745 this morning.

My son got this one the morning before Thanksgiving. Nice 6pt, dressed 125lbs. Its his biggest so far. Sorry but I've gotta brag a little: he started at 9 yrs old and he's 13 now. He's shot 7 times and has taken 7 deer- never missed or needed a 2nd shot. I wish I could say he got that from me but it would be a flat- out lie.

Burned a vacation day at work and well worth the sacrifice! Snuck in before first light. Sprayed some Doe pee around the hardwoods area and hopped in my tripod. Sat for maybe half hour and saw a body. A few calls with my Primos can call and here he came....40 yds....boom....30yd run.....done. My biggest buck to date & first successful solo hunt!

Been an excellent year. I had only killed 1 8 point in 16 years of deer hunting and then the Good Lord Blessed me with 3 of them this year!
