Ruger M77 Mark ll 7 mag, leupold vx3 4.5-14x40
Are there any thing else better ? This is what I'll be taking also( Lord willing )but it has a Leupold vxll 3x9 50mm for the optics , killin" machine !

X3.

I'll be taking either this with a 3x9x50 Nikon buckmaster or a Remington .270 with 3x9x50 Nikon buckmaster. I haven't decided but leaning toward the 7 mag.

#1 son with Scoped Ruger gunsight Scout he got last Xmas from Santa
14 year old daughter with CVA break open single shot Hunter in 243 with scope
#2 son with CVA Accura MR 50 cal ML he shot his first deer with two weeks ago...says it's his favorite
Wife with my Savage XP in .308

which leaves me with AR 5.56 with ego tech, or Russian Recapture 8mm Mauser open sights, or xbow. I've ruled out the M1 Carbine because of what you guys have said about its power, and not only is the Garand heavy, but I have no hunting loads for it.

Browning BAR .308, with a Redfield 3 x 9 scope, and handloaded ammo. I think the bullets are boat tailed hollow points and very heavy (175 grain?), but I can put the bullet where I want it to go at any reasonable range. Never had any luck with it using factory ammo.

I'll be toting my Remington 700 chambered in .270. I refinished the stock on it after the close of the season last year. 20+ years of abuse and looking like new again.
