So today was my first ever try at coyote hunting and needless to say I was unsuccessful. My question is do yall constantly call until the animal is seen or is it more of a calling sequence of about 5 or 10 minutes then wait and so on? Do you locate them first or blind call? Cuts or fields or timber? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I turn it on and call for around 15 min. If nothing shows I'll set and wait a little while. Never can tell what's sneaking around looking. Called a bobcat in and it took a little over 30 min. Called the cat out of timber to the edge of a clear cut . Don't get disappointed if you don't call or see them. In our area there are not as many as you think. I like to set up on edges of timber and fields. You can watch the field and the timber. Good Luck and be patient.
