I've never used traps thoroughly enough to know what I'm doing, but I know that they can be super effective. what is the best way to trap coyotes in Yall's opinion?

YouTube University, and then try to find another local experienced trapper to tag along with.
I second TN song Dog on tagging along with someone. That is the fastest way to learn.
You might contact your local game warden as
TWRA is making a good investment in trapping as well that should start making some ripples in the water. Several wildlife officers just recently completed an officer trapping training program and will be helping the public get started to my understanding.
I spent some time with the gentlemen that was leading the training this last winter running my trapline going over how I make my coyote sets. I got to see some of the equipment and traps that TWRA had and I will say they got the good stuff.

Snare was the fastest and easiest for me to catch coyotes when I started and probably still is.
