Marshall county - spent about 15 hours in the stand this weekend. Spikes and small bucks were nose to the ground or in a dead run chasing doe all weekend long. It's on. Expect this week and weekend to start seeing the big boys moving more.

Bradley Co sunday saw 4 does and no bucks.... Two scrapes and a ton of rubs within 50 yards of each other.

Rhea Cnty Have seen more daytime activity with does and young bucks. No chase though

Daytime movement for bucks still seems very slow in LBL right now.

Killed a 10 pt. Opening weekend of ML in Weakley county that was dogging a doe hard. After I shot him, I heard a grunt 30 yards away in a thicket. It was two more bucks. They picked up on the doe and completely ignored me. This all happened around noon as I was going to my stand while the rest of the hunters napped at camp!

Rut report from Lawrence county:

Finally starting to see rubs and scrapes pop up.

Seeing more 1.5-2.5 year old bucks every time I'm in stand.

According to cameras and time in the field bucks 3.5+ are moving very little in daylight hours.

Timing seems to be about right for my area, should be rocking thanksgiving week- first week of December.

6 hours straight on stand in Williamson and no sign of any chasing. Might be happening in other parts of the county.

In Meigs on Thursday I shot high on a nice 6 pointer and grazed his back. I had some estrus wicks hanging and he was headed to them on a line. Had a couple of does come through.

I'm in Roane county too and there is no chasing here at all... very little sign as compared to most years too.. guess it only takes one hot doe to start it up tho
