A beautiful morning to be in the woods, when the woods start opening up in the fall I don't think there is a better round than the 17 Mach 2. Me and a friend went this morning with our 17's. Squirrel's was really active this morning feeding mostly on acorns.

I used to have the same set up. Hands down the most accurate, flattest shooting squirrel rifle/round I have ever used. I deeply regret ever trading that rifle off.

What was your longest kill this hunt?
Around 80yds on this hunt. I have killed them further, I sight mine a tad over a 1/2" high at 50yds, it's dead on at 100yds, not but around 4 1/2' low at 150yds. I been a serious squirrel hunter for 60yrs, and in my opinion the 17 Mach2 is a fine rifle when the leaves are off, and you can see a long way. I still use my old 22 when the leaves are pretty thick and there cutting up in the trees.
