If he is helping retrieve and making videos with them what is the difference. Falls right in with them imo
Knowing what they are doing… and how they are going about it with all the controversy. No
geez wild to me a man is being judged by people that have prob never met him or walked in his shoes one min.
Ive met him way back and have followed him in turkey hunting forum for a long while (when he first got started). He is a different kinda fella but Id go turkey hunting with him any day. Works hard, puts the time in the woods more then most and enjoys the outdoors. We dont see eye to eye on certain subjects but that doesnt mean we can share one passion we do have thats the same (hunting).

Catman is doing what is best for him. The more he can network with other content creators who have more subscribers than himself, he stands a good chance of increasing his subscriber base (which increases his income, obviously).
Back when he invited THP to TN and sent them to the public honeyholes here, many thought THP was just using him. Turns out Catman ended up using THEM as it indirectly tripled his subscriber base as the THP guys started featuring Catman in their videos driving up subscribers.
It's all about driving up likes, subscribes, comments to increase monetization if you want to try to make a living doing the tik/tok, FB, instragam, utube thing and feed yourself.
And its really, really tough to be successful I would imagine... Now anyone can buy the camera gear for less than $1000 and put it out there. So there are thousands doing it right now. How do you make your own channel unique and stand out? Killing giant bucks in urban backyards is certainly one way. At least Catman hunts ethically and does his best to follow the letter of the law.
But I don't think Catman was driven off this site (I may be wrong, some of you who have had actual face to face conversations with him might disagree), but rather he became exasperated because he made several enemies here by giving up and potentially ruining public spots that were good prior to the utube craze (certainly wasn't just his fault, lots of folks gave away too much information on this forum, other forums, and utube). Those enemies were going to call him out many times he got on here, and he is at the point where he really wasn't going to gain much from interacting on TNDeer any longer.
Again, this is just my opinion from watching his development/ interactions on this site. I don't watch him, THP etc any longer... just lost interest, and the THPs guys just became nails on the chalkboard irritating to me. Right now I've been watching 3 locals from the coast inshore fishing who have about 8,000 subscribers combined. They produce good content and include enough tips/ tricks/ suggestions to help me as a newbie inshore fisherman to learn from.

I watched about 2 mins of a SeekOne video and I was out. I don't have the animosity towards them that many here do, their videos and style just isn't for me.
I have watched THP for years but they've gotten to where I can't take them any longer. The childish dumbassery in their videos the last bit has just turned me off.
I watch Catman and will continue to do so unless he changes his demeanor.

Catman is a good dude. I like have others have watched him grow up on here and he is a great guy. I never met him personally but I enjoys his videos and I am proud for him with what he has accomplished. He worked really hard to get where he is as an outdoorsman.

I like catman, but he straight up gave up many spots and ruined some great ones. He's no different than other YouTube hunters in that he wants likes and subscribers. Once you start doing collaborations with others in the YouTube game, you are not doing it cause you like to film hunts but instead for the notoriety and the likes.
Do I like how he hunts though? Absolutely. He hunts like I learned how to Turkey hunt just not near as aggressively. He is respectful and works hard at it. I'd like to drink beer and catfish with him.

So Catman is a bad dude because he helped recover a deer that his friend killed, legally? Just because we don't agree with seek ones hunting style and tactics doesn't mean Jonathan is the same type of hunter and a bad dude.
Look. I don't care for seek one either. I don't watch them. I think he's shooting pets as well. But I'm not going to judge another man making a living and trying to better himself based off of one of his friends hunting style.

Let me say that I support Catman.
However, I am not a fan of killing all the does you can legally muster on public land just because it is legal. I know several go to Hunters for the Hungry, but he kills a lot! Not convinced that is really good for the public land resource.

Seek one is not my style, I don't watch them, have never met him, so I will not judge. Catman seems like a good young man. He grew up in a different generation than me, things have changed alot, so I will not judge him either.
Catman is top tier IMO . Always willing to help weather you knew him personally or not . Agreeing with what some do have nothing to do with what type person he is unless it's for gain and illegal. Kudos to him for stepping out on his endeavors, he's young and as far as I know unmarried so his responsibilities are to himself only . Haters are going to hate , simply put . I know I've ruffled feathers here before but try to get along with all .

I admit, I've never watched a seek one video...not positive that I've watched one of catman's. I didn't witness him "growing up" on here, but he was here when I joined. I enjoyed hearing about his hunts...and fishing trips. Kinda been wondering where he went, but hadn't said anything.
When someone posted that video of seek one recovering that deer, and I heard " my buddy Catman gave us a hand" or something like that, I thought WTF?? Is it the same person? Surely not!!
Someone once said...you only get one chance to make a first impression, and another said...you are known by the company you keep!! All that said...I don't have anything against either one of them personally...I don't know them or watch their videos....how could I dislike someone I don't even know?

Iv helped guys I didn't even know retrieve deer and probably never see them or talk to them again.
