I want a goliath because I think that one has the foot rest. I have a Viper (classic I think) it is 10 years old, but I love it. It is comfortable, but I just want the foot rest.
You can get a foot rest from
G-n-B
I have it plus the Thirdhandarchery foot rest
I can prop my feet up or recline lol!

can you show me a picture of this? it sounds like you have a foot rest on a foot rest...

I have long legs, though, so this would be right up my alley.

I thought I'd seen that thing around before and it could just be added to my existing stand. Thanks for the link.

I have 3 Summit stands but never use them any more. My OlMan is lighter and easier to carry. I do think the Summit is a sturdy, comfortable stand but I have a complaint that you probably won't hear from anyone else. They are rock solid on a tree. Too rock solid. My stand bites into the tree so well that I work up a sweat trying to break it loose from the tree climbing up or down with every move. I never thought I'd complain about a stand being too good at what it does.

I have a Goliath and love it. Very roomy and comfortable, added bags to each side for easy access to gear.

Summit and Thirdhand stuff are made for each other. I don't know why Summit don't talk to Jim and start a line of stands with his gear included that would be a no brainier.
