Send me pics. I am looking hard. Gun will be hunted hard. Cosmetics on the gun dont matter. Shape working parts matter. Send any pic. I was looking 12ga but with the right gun might change my mine

My last 4 "gun" bucks have been with a Savage slug gun. Slugs will put them down! If you are hunting close quarters, no need for a long range rifle….

Im not going to hate you for killing a deer with a shotgun.
Killed my first doe with a 12ga slug at around 20 to 30 yards, but was concerned about accuracy past that distance.
Bought a 243 and our oldest is very nervous and had trouble flinching with it.
I sold it and bought a 223 and the rest is history.
Im sure these modern shotguns can shoot much more accurate than mine.

I have been using a slug gun only for about fifteen years now. If you find the right sabot slug for your gun they can be very accurate. Best advice I can give you though is once you find a sabot slug your barrel likes buy a surplus of of it. These manufacturers love to discontinue slug ammo and come out with something new. Two examples are the Federals with the blue Barnes tips and the Winchester Partition Golds both shot great out of my Benelli SBE2 and Savage 212 and both discontinued.
