Single Shot Slug Gun.

I used a 16 gauge single shot with a smooth 18.5 inch barrel for a while. It was nice and light and I could hit a 6 inch square off hand at 100 yards consistently. I never took a shot on a deer that far, mostly 40-50 yards. Killed every deer I shot with it pretty quick. I stopped using it just because I like more than one round. I shot a doe once and immediately had a buck run by chasing her after she broke. He saw me as I reloaded and bolted.

I put one of those fancy new recoil pads on my H & R 20 ga Ultra Slug Hunter recoil is now tolerable.
