So I planted a food plot off the edge of my yard in hope to provide some late winter food for deer…a mix of wheat, oats and crimson clover. Had a camera on it from November thru January and never got one picture of a deer  . So as time went on this spring that plot grew and grew to the point that I sent my slaves (children) out today to begging harvesting the grain by hand so I can plant a plot in a different place that may be more useful:)

Ha!

But I'm surprised you never got any deer using the plot.
Yeah, me too, even though it's next to the yard. We live very remotely with only 4 homes within several thousand acres of hills and hollers and a few pastures. I do get plenty of pictures of deer using my other plots, but I just rarely see them from the house. The only year we saw them much from the house was the year there were no acorns and they hammered every blade of grass in the yard.
