What do you guys recommend for a GPS? I don't want to spend a fortune on it. Something that does map WMA boundaries (and even fort Campbell areas) would be awesome if possible. Also topo abilities would be nice but not necessary. I need something for hunting/scouting.

I had a garmin etrex (the old camo one) but the batteries exploded and the contacts are shot.

Edit Addition: I know there are iPhone options but I've never had good experience with these (battery drain and bad/low cell service).

I have a Garmin 60 CS. I have used it for many years with relative success. The only failure has been with heavy foliage such as bow season and early muzzleloader. This is not the unit, just the limitations of the technology. The 60 CS does exactly what I need. I'd suggest Lithium batteries and your less likely to have a battery issue. Good luck.

I'd throw a compass and map in your pack just in case.
