Pinto beans

Never tried them in the garden before and considering planting some and possibly kidney brand as well this coming spring. Can anyone give recommendations or insight on how they do in west TN.

Heirloom options: Cherokee Trail of Tears pole beans (gorgeous glossy black), Painted Pony bush beans (tan and cream). Both can be picked young to eat as snap beans, or left to dry on the vine for dried bean storage.

Coworker gave me some extra roma II bush beans he had left over...added two rows in one of our raised beds and so far they are doing great...may add another row this weekend.
