thanks,was a very tuff hunt,walked around 15miles a day or more,but the walking was pretty easy.unless you were in a bog there saying was if its brown your going down and if its black your not coming back.even if there was grass your next step could be hip deep.next year is going to be a do it yourself hunt for elk either Montana with a gun or Colorado with a bow

What a cool trip!

Now that you're an expert, do you have any tips for managing the meat shipment when you are doing a trip like that where you fly in instead of drive? I am shuddering at some of the awful driving distance for elk hunts...

Thanks guys.no expert from Newfoundland after season is over they ship everything on refrigerated trucks to differnt hubs we have to go to cartersville ga to pick up ours. When we went to Montana elk hunting last year the processer shipped straight to my buddy's house
