What is it? Someone's offering to sell saying it's a Winchester m1917 in 30-06 what's it worth? The m1917 I have saw is "an enfield" This looks like a model 70 to me!? Any help appreciated

And it's been sporterized

looks like a 1917 to me. it should say on it if it's a winchester or a eddy stone. there was about 4 different ones.i use to deer hunt with one. had about a 29 in. barrel

Thanks for the info. I picked it up for 300. Good bore and small surface rust on floor plate But good shape overall

Great deal! I have a soft spot for sporterized military rifles. Those days or long gone!
