First buck I ever killed was at 2 pm. Every buck since has been 4 to dark, or early morning, dawn to 9. I did kill a buck one evening on a food plot then shot another buck the very next morning sniffing at the gut pile of the other one.

On one farm I figure if I see deer before 8:30-9:00 those are bonuses. I start seeing deer around 9:00 on

I just wrote down for mine and my son's biggest deer by antler score with the majority being 3.5+:

Shooting light to 9:30 AM: 50% including my 3 biggest (7AM, 9:30AM, Daylight)

12 Noon: 6%

2PM - 3PM: 11%

4PM - End of Shooting light: 33%

Two things to note is that until the last few years, I hunted more mornings than evenings, and I see more deer in the mornings. However, we have killed several of the evening, but my 3 biggest were of the morning.

Not sure about does. I need to look back at my notes over the years, but off hand, 100% of my bucks have came before 8:30am and after 3pm central time
