#1 I think yall are doing a great job .I've heard lots of complaining about fields growing up and plots not being planted on WMAs. Now I understand some are let grow for nesting and habitat. Has the TWRA ever discussed leasing to local farmers. With te cost per arce for lease and the savings of not having the upkeep it could help some.

TWRA does have some lease agreements for farming some of the areas. However, there are others that due to the small size or accessibility just aren't worth the trouble to go through the VERY involved process to lease. The plan to allow some of those to grow into the more brushy cover will provide better habitat than row crops.
