I jumped a doe walking in just after dawn.
Somebody just shot about 300 yards from me.

First day Genesis. Not that many camping at Peavine campground. Seen more in years past. Didn't see any deer but not that many hunters. Rain might have kept them away.

Heard two shots. Gonna be in the upper 30s in the morning. Should have deer up and moving. TONS of acorns on the ground!

Yesterday's total is only 14 bucks. That's likely due to the rain, high winds, and warm temps.

Yes, yesterday's total was 14 and they killed 37 today. I saw pics of one awesome buck. The chasing phase is on, according to several hunters.
