If guys would stop shooting the first legal buck that came thru, we could see a lot more like that one!

I killed an 8 pointer on bi color side this morning. 3 turns of the can and he came from no where. First time at Catoosa and I'm already looking forward to next year.

We saw several that had been shot on the Genesis side. Couple 8s and a 10. We only hunted yesterday after the rain and today. The cold temps had them moving. We saw fresh rubs that weren't more than 24 hours old. Tomorrow should be real good!

I'm gonna be there the 19th-21st November. With no idea where to go. Scout and see what I can find couple days before the hunt. All I know to do.

IMO you'll have about as much of a chance as anybody out here. You could drive your truck in as far as possible, unload a 4 wheeler, and ride even further, hike a mile from there, and have just as much a chance of killing a big buck as the guy who hunts behind camp, or next to the checking station. Right now there's really no telling where they're gonna end up.
My best advice for this hunt is hunt where the does are.

Killed a 9 pt yesterday evening chasing does, I'd show a pic but I guess it frowned upon because it wasn't that great big one, and was the first legal buck I saw.
Can't be any smaller than the one I killed. Piss on what people think. Everyone should shoot what makes them happy.

Genesis I've killed last 2 years, different spots. I scouted all day Tuesday and had a 115 inch 10 walk within 20 yards of me, out in the road. I got video of him. Wednesday scouted and walked 7.8 miles. Settled on a spot with good rubs and 3 scrapes. I saw 6 does total while hunting and this buck. I was 220 yards from truck. When I shot him he was 30 yards. He ran off and I had to follow blood. I found him 12 yards from the truck. I wish all drag outs was that easy. I had a great hunt and feel blessed to take this buck.

Good job! Nice deer and thanks for posting it. Some people trophy hunt and some just hunt for what makes them happy. To each there own. Even better when you don't have to drag!
