Been using an Ole Man for nearly 20 years now and was thinking of making an upgrade. Comfort, eaze of set up,and light weight are biggest draw for me. Thanks guys.

Generally, Summit has a great reputation. Good hunting! The end of the year will see a lot of things going on sale to clear out hunting gear. There is a pawn shop on the north side of Chickamauga Dam that has loads of tree stands, ladder stands and 3D targets out front. Need to check it when I'm in Choo Choo Town.

I had a summit viper but hated how cumbersome it was packing (I hunt mainly public in the mountains) and made the switch to a lone wolf hand climber combo 3 years ago and wouldn't own anything else. I find it plenty comfortable for 5+ hour sits and packs much better and is bowhunter friendly. Seat is like a lock on so no shooting rail in the way. Good luck.

I have used the Summit viper and Goliath and love them both. But I gun and crossbow hunt so the rail helps out for a rest for both. Before I had to switch to crossbow I used a compound with no problem out of the viper.

API bowhunter. Not sure if it's still being made but I have 2 of them. I keep one in Tennessee and one in Missouri to use when I'm back home.

I had an open shot years ago, was not a fan. Best I can remember, climbing was awkward and it wasn't comfortable for all day sits (which I do a lot of in early November). Sold it, bought a specialist sd and love it. I pack in a mile regularly, sit all day, climbing is easy. It's not comparable to the viper for comfort, but what you gain from having the open front is worth it to me. I have also shot a few deer while being seated in the sd, but you don't have full range to spin because of the sling seat. I have no idea if they still make the specialist sd. I've probably had mine for 10 years plus.

Open Shot for me. I put a Hazmore seat on it and it is even lighter to carry. I pretty much use from bow through gun.

I have used a Goliath for years and love it. Plenty of room and I've attached bags on the front and side rails so everything I need is within reach with minimal movement.
