I try to catch them on sale when I can. If the rail on the 280 didn't match the rifle, it woulda got a seekins.

That rail would either be a Nightforce or a Warne. If it was Bergara, it would have a big B in the middle of it.
That was my thought on the B, but the color is an absolute match on the rifle.
They were cerakoted at the same time.

Did you have any bedding mat'l squeeze up thru the putty into the screw holes?

Day 2…..
Is a flipping bust. While cleaning the rail up on the 25-06, I didn't rough the bottom of the rail up enough. Cleaning the holes up and the bedding flaked off. Could be worse, but a good reminder on why you rough your surfaces up enough to get a good bond.
Guess this means we'll go another round! Stay tuned, I expect rifle number 2 to do the same thing, but we'll see.

We shall try again! Whatever coating (cerakote) and probably anodized aluminum needs better grip. I hate to show a failure on this, but I wanna be transparent on the process.
