I disagree Rakkin.....my comments just above this were written with HECS technology....AMAZING.
Really, I am surprised by that. So you think the HECS system eliminates the electromagnetic fields from humans? I don't have first hand knowledge on HECS and honestly you are the first person I met that has used them. Saw some reviews online and watched the infomercials on the outdoor channel and just couldn't buy into it. Well if they work for you then keep using them.

Bad joke, sorry. I didn't write anything above the comment I made, implying....HECS works so well you can't see the words. I know, pour delivery. I'll step my game up.

HECS is a joke.

In my experiments, there is a DRAMATIC difference in sighting rates for hunters practicing scent control versus those who aren't. But then, I'm working with hunters in very steep terrain and thick covering, meaning most sightings are at very close range. For hunters hunting open fields, or in long-range shooting opportunities, I wouldn't expect much difference.
I left out a major concern for most "serious" scent freaks😁 i smoke like a choo choo loaded with coal while in the woods and i figure if the deer can smell me he is gonna smell my smoke! I always try hunt the wind and thermals and on occasion have had deer come in down wind with their nose in the air coming right to my smoke trail but have yet had a 150 do it and doubt i will😂

Long story short, I vape. But I also work on my property year round, and every time I do, I intentionally vape A LOT to help condition the deer to that smell. It appears to be working. I've watched my vape cloud envelope bucks and they only flinch at the site of it, not the smell.

ALL of it..............lol

My great uncle Mike hunted from the time he was old enough to legally hunt until his passing at 81. He never wore anything but red/black plaid Woolrich (hat, coat and pants)Northern rubber boots, never owned a deer call or used a single drop of cover scent. He carried a good weapon and killed more deer than anyone I know..........the old fashioned way. Hunting the woods, no shooting houses, ground blinds, etc.
He never owned a single piece of camo clothing in his life. LOL.

I have fallen for the latest/greatest gimmicks over the yrs. but am finding. Go back to the basics is working just fine for me as well, and I tag out every yr. with my deer kills.

It is a money making industry out there and the hunters are supporting it.

Shy of my GPS and maybe a trail cam, both help me to get to and locate deer. I can't think of a single other item I have purchased over the yrs. that actually walked a deer into my freezer.
Camo - agree. I don't think they care how you dress.

I think I posted in here before, but the scent killing sprays do kill odors. When my son was younger and played a sport every season, I'd spray his cleats and equipment with scent killer spray and the stuff would knock the scent right out of them. Try it yourself, if you have some smelly ass shoes, spray them inside real good and you'll see for yourself.

As many others have already said, Scent Elimination or Controling clothes would be my vote for overrated gear. I use an ASAT 3D Leafy suit and wear whatever I want under it and then try my very best to play the wind. That ASAT leafy suit is the best investment I've made minus my weapon that allows me to kill the game lol
