Gotta love a month in the box.
Hey I did it for 23 years and loved it, the only thing all that time in the Army made me dislike is the rain. You will not catch me out in it if at all possible. After laying in the rain and the mud and getting soaked for days on end in 45-50° temperatures I am good. The only time I will hunt in the rain is during turkey season from a ground blind. Other than that I will be at the gym or doin something else. And has you all know Fort Campbell has a weather monkey in the back forty just cranking away rain out of nowhere lol.

I like listening to the rain, but how my BDE set up training events at Riley they made sure it was going to rain. I think the whole duration we were in a box, regardless of where we were, it would rain 90% of the time. So I may not have spent that long in, but I understand the rain thing. Too many times standing, sleeping, or digging tracks out of the mud and in the rain.

Well I wasn't mech I was in the 101st and 5th Group my whole career. So no vehicles for us to really use. Just a poncho for a lean to. But from talking to my buddies that were mech that hated that stuff especially when track broke in the rain.

I know all too well what you mean. I spent almost 4 years there in the late 1980s, at the end of Indiana Avenue from where 5th Group was located back then. Every single time my unit went to the field we got pissed on! lol There was a bad drought in 1988 and 1989, and local farmers were hurting for rain. Told my 1SG that was an easy fix - all they had to do was send our unit to the field and it would end the drought.

Never tried them but bout to get 5 boxes. Thank you!
Those trophy copper shoot great out of my 220! I shoot the 3 inch but you better get what you can the way things are at this point. I bet they will shoot good, Mine are very consistent and accurate.

I still want to try the Barnes Vor-Tx 20 Gauge 3" Ammo Expander Tipped Slug but can't find them. Wrote Barnes about them but no answer yet.
Me too, I loved the Federal Barnes Expander with the blue tip. To bad they discontinued them. But I will say that out of my Benelli slug gun the Winchester Partition Gold shoot great also.

Well, no word from Barnes but... I have been doing some research/reading and it seems Barnes Bullets was bought by Vista Outdoor(last year). Vista says no changes to Barnes. Randy Wakeman(some shotgun expert) says the Barnes Vor-Tx Expander Tipped Slug is the same slug round as the Remington Premier Barnes just loaded in a different box. He also said Vista is in the process of removing all Barnes bullet loads from Remington and Federal ammo. He then added that those two shotgun loads are vaporware. lol, I am not sure what that means.

Anyways... just found this.

Not ordering any YET as I'm a bit leery of the site. Need to do some more research in the morning when I ain't so tired.
Blah, just noticed they won't ship because of the ammo shortage(In store pickup only).

These will be just as good as the federal and Remington barnes. I've shot vortx stuff once before seem to be decent quality. Seriously considering just reloading my own..maybe next year.
