Shooting at Reelfoot

A very common occurrence on public land. Say my blind is working ducks and they will tend to "swing" around the field for 1 or 2 passes. While swinging, they will pass in the vicinity of a neighboring blind and get shot at (usually way out of range) and the ducks I was working are now gone. It happens all the time.

And the TWRA guy said I was one of the few people that suggested reducing the number of blinds...

Out of respect for all involved I will remain silent. I wish we as a group would show respect and do the same. NO I was not there but know 1 of each of the parties involved and know one REALLY well. I feel the pain you must be going through. The Media has allready mentioned the two young men names . Just looking at their Social Media Accounts,,that could be my son. They are roughly the same age and share all the same interest including Duck Hunting.

Doesn't matter what it was over.... Swinging ducks, blind hopping, or whatever it may be, NOTHING is worth someone losing their lives over. Sad deal all the way around.

I don't think the shooter was in his right mind. And this come from someone that hunts that blind. You don't go in shoot at 3 people and then chase them back to the bank. Sad day 2 people have lost there lives and the shooter has lost his life also even if he isn't physically dead.

I was talking to a duck hunter that lives in that area he said it was so bad he had to get to the boat ramp at 3am to avoid a headache. He said daily fights at the ramp. Finally he said he just got tied of it and quit and started hunting exclusively in Missouri.

Just got a text from a friend who has a close contact that is in the know. All I can say is HOLY @#$@. The details will come out soon enough and some of you may already know BUT whoever said the shooter was out of his mind was right. Bat guano crazy! The boy who survived is going to need some serious prayer after seeing all that go down.
