Looking for a threaded barrel "cap" for a Winchester Model 70 Classic stainless. It's threaded for a BOSS.
I've not had any luck searching. Maybe I'm using the incorrect term??

They should sell a boss or a boss without the holes in it. I have one on my browning. They should just make a cap. Boss was a marketing gimmick that I fell for I suppose.
You need a thread protector. I've had a machinist take measurements and fabricate me one in the past, or you could cut the barrel off just below the threads. Do you know know the thread specifications (e.g. 5/8 x 24)?
Do you currently have anything (BOSS) to screw on it to protect the threads?

Call Winchester. I bought a .22 with a threaded barrel but the thread protector was missing. Couldn't find one and called Savage and told them I had bought it used and what I needed. The lady asked for my address and sent me one free of charge.
