Turkey scouting during jury hunt.

I would never mess up a kids hunt but I have some public land that I would like to scout tomorrow one place is TVA land and the other is a WMA. Is it legal to scout them this weekend. I have hunted these places for many years and I have never ran into anyone while hunting or scouting.

Unless the WMA is closed for a special youth hunt, it probaby would be legal. It would be bad to mess up a youth's hunt.

You may want to give the Area Manager of the WMA a call if you are planning on doing any calling. The opening dayt part of the regulations against pre-season calling is open to some imterpretation. We will try to clear that up in the next proclamation.

I agree I would not want to mess a kids hunt up. I am going to wait well after day light if anyone is even parked close to the area I will not enter the area.
