Is a Beared Hen legal to harvest during the fall turkey season. Per the regulations listed below, it states one bearded turkey.

So, is a bearded hen legal to harvest?

  • Sept. 23, 2023 - Oct. 27, 2023, and Oct 30, 2023 - Nov. 3, 2023 (same as deer archery-only season) One (1) bearded turkey, per county, except that Bledsoe, Bradley, Crockett, Dyer, Giles, Haywood, Lake, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Lincoln, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe, Polk, Shelby, Tipton, Unicoi, and Wayne counties are closed to all fall turkey hunting.

Yes, Tennessee's only real restriction beyond "bearded" birds is in the SPRING season, when only one of the two birds killed can be a Jake.

But in the fall, it's just one bearded bird, of any kind.
