When I was having trouble with my trolling motor, I changed out the battery, rebooted it, and finally did a software upgrade. What a HUGE difference! The Spot Lock worked way better. The trolling function (the "N" button) never really seemed to work that well for me, but after the upgrade it was FANTASTIC. Just got to say if you haven't done the upgrade you will regret it. It makes the trolling motor so much better.
I have to say, that the I-Pilot is the best fishing gadget I've ever bought. I just spent SO much time trying to control the boat. Now I just hit Spot Lock and tie on new lures, fight fish, etc. Just so much better. Now I need to see if there is one for my Garmin depth finder.
