What's the attraction for a single shot centerfire rifle? Not judging, just asking?

For me it's two fold.

I am more aware that I have to make one shot count.
The second one may sound silly to you, but my thought is if they ever came after guns, they would get the ones that fired multiple shots first.

When they decide to come after guns, I want all the rapid firepower I can have.
