Yeah the 99 is a super classic and extremely nice rifles especially pre 60s…I have 2, a 30-30, '28 manufacture, Model H and a 300EG…

Great thread. Not my gun, but sharing my coworkers .300 Savage. Serial number came back as 1935 model. It was his grandfather's and lived in Oregon until last year when he took possession. Grandfather hunted with original sights for years, and then his dad mounted old Leupold around 1970.

Yes, my grand father was an old school gun trader , it was one of his favorite rifles, i really love the hammerless design and brass cartridge counter on the side of the receiver. Mines in 300 savage. I would love to have the 250-3000 cal, really ahead of its time

My papaw's Model 99 is stored at my dad's. It's chambered in .250-3000 Savage. Papaw is still kicking at 96, and I'm in no hurry to inherit it. When I do, I'm really excited about trying to take a deer with it. It's a beautiful gun!
