Picking from muddy garden

Anyone have any suggestions for ideas on picking when the ground is wet? Yesterday as I was planting, i had to walk across the recently watered ground and WOW, I sunk and the mud swallowed my shoes. I had forgotten about this last year on the days I had to pick after a good rain. I had considered cutting some plywood boards to run up the rows. Anyone have any good ideas for this?

That's a idea.... I wear size 15 shoes, you'd think they would be like tennis rackets but they aren't.

I let the weeds grow between rows and mow them. Keeps the garden from turning to a soupy mess with every rain.
