Old School Hunting UPDATED PICS

Decided to go old school this afternoon. No deerstand, no scope, no binoculars. Just me, my marlin 30-30 lever gun, and a thermos of coffee. I love Thanksgiving week. I just need one to show up. I can shoot 130 yards from this spot but would rather have 75 yards or less. Good luck everyone.

I made it happen. This fellow came in at 15 yards. He dropped in his tracks. The guys in the group text got me thinking, could this be the catch and release deer from last year? I'll look at last year's pics later

Me too, but at my age I don't have many more years to go without a scope. Eyesight is first thing to go.

If you're really old school gotta sit on a 5 gallon bucket and wear a red plaid coat (with an orange vest). Helps to chain smoke camel non filtered Or a pipe....
