Nikon Buckmaster Question

Hey I have a new to me Nikon Buckmaster with the 3 dials ,came with some stuff , in 4.5 x 14 . I was gonna slip this on a .223 I have . This has hardly any field of view at any range . Not having anything else Nikon to compare it to is this the norm ? Does anyone else have this scope , is it the same ? Thanks

I used to have that model scope but never had any troubles with it.

I"ve never used the Buckmaster but, have 2 other Nikons and they are great.

Doesn't sound normal at all. I've got a 3x9 and fov experience is similar to any other scope.

Maybe look up the fov specs online and see if it corresponds to what you are seeing.

Well just got an answer from Nikon support . I guess that's the way they are suppose to be . 6.8' to 19.9' @ 100 yards , just don't seem like that much compared to my other scopes .
