Saw the ears of a doe and tail of another deer. Doe went off blowing down the hill and kept blowing until i could barely make out the sound of her still blowing. Probably 3 counties over now, still blowing.

Can't wait to get back in the stand. I'm off Friday and then we have early 2 day mz hunt Saturday and Sunday. Gotta get through next week and then I don't work a full week until after Thanksgiving!

I've got 3 days left of my Norris hunt. Technically 4 but Friday looks like it will be a rain out. Then scouting for Oak Ridge hunt the following weekend, and then two oak ridge hunt weekends in a row. Then its back to private land for me. Hope I get something this year!

Beautiful morning, stars were really popping on walk in. Heard a few hens on roost at daybreak & have a gobbler that's sounded off 4 times so far!

Hunting a box blind with xbow this morning. 4 does and a small buck so far. This plot hasn't grew that good but I think the deer have played a big part in keeping it worn down. Moving cams over scrapes after my hunt. Early mz for us this weekend.

Got my preferred west wind this morning. Not much to look at. Just a strip of woods between ag fields.
I'm getting a lesson on turkey calls this morning. The hens are right behind me feeding on acorns, must be happy as they are purring their heads off. Also making some type of squeal that I'm not sure I've ever heard one make. The gobbler across ridge is still hammering

Saw this on stand Saturday morning. I couldn't get a pic of the hawk. He didn't stick around long enough. How many hunters out there spend time identifying birds they've not seen in the past?
