Let’s go fishing I said

It will be fun I said.
Got up checked the radar and said oh yeah it's on.
Got on the water fished for 5 minutes and caught 3 good bream in 4 casts.
Saw a rather impressive wall cloud approaching and thought that ain't good.
About that time lightning hit about 50 yards from me and blew the top out of a tree.
Decided I might need to wait it out.

Slacked up after about an hour and I loaded up and came home.

Yes I took my life vests out and hung them up in the utility room.

Nothing much worse than being caught in a thunderstorm while on the water. I've joked with my wife that our boat is cursed because I'm pretty sure we've had more rainy days on the water than sunny.

Fished the past two mornings in the rain. The millennium umbrella was the ticket. Saw lightning around 11:30 this morning and called it a day.
