I have found a small piece of public land I want to hunt that parallels a dead end public road. I have a good place to park and walk in but when I get to where I am wanting to hunt from I'll only be 50-60 yards from you the road. I wouldn't be shooting towards the road. I saw some older posts saying you had to be clear of the right of way but I did a google search and found something that said 100 yds. There is not a spot where I can hunt 100 yds away from the road. Just wanting somebody to clear this up for me so I stay out of trouble. Lol. Thanks.

Your google search was incorrect if they had a 100 yd requirement. You have to be off of the road right of way, and cannot shoot on or across the public road.

Right of way distances vary according to the classification of the road. Your local road dept. should be able to give you the legal distance the right of way extends for that road.
