It's all about smell. Knowing that wouldn't you think you could put a bottle of doe estrogen on the ground you would have every buck in the area come running? If it really worked. Great marketing will sell anything. JMO.

I saw really nice buck last week in a corn field bedded down right off the highway. Thought it was kind of strange until I noticed a dead dear laying next to him. Pretty sure she got hit by a car, probably under his chase, and he didn't want to leave her.

There were several deer around, mostly bucks but could have been a doe.

Seen a buck on the side of interstate 81 10 plus years ago laying down. I thought he'd been hit from a distance but he hadn't. He was laying down next to a doe. That looked like somebody stuck dynamite in a lit it. He was bedded next to her.

I shot a buck this year that was tending a doe. She ran off when the gun went off then turned around and came right back. She hung around for 20 or 30 minutes waiting for the buck to get up. I had never seen that before.
