Shot a good 8 pointer this evening. Was planning on leaving him hanging overnight…only going to get down to the mid 50's in Giles County. Y'all think he will be okay?
Agreed. I would at least get it quartered up and in a cooler. No over night hangers for me unless its in the thirties at most
I was planning on shoving 2 bags of ice in him to cool him down!Man that's right on the line. Any way you can shove some bags of ice in chest cavity and between the hams?
Right on the line and I'd really hate for things to go south for you.
You would be better off quartering him up and putting in a cooler. Needs to be 34* to 38* .Shot a good 8 pointer this evening. Was planning on leaving him hanging overnight…only going to get down to the mid 50's in Giles County. Y'all think he will be okay?
I agree skin off and a bag of ice or 2 . Quartering and a Cooler would be best.May be ok with ice in cavity hanging but they skin easy and could have it quartered in 30-45 min and in a cooler with no worries . JMO
