They are getting snow dumped on em in Iowa and N. MO from what I've seen
They are calling for 12-20"+ in places North of us.This late in the season, many times they wont push south. They tend to sit tite. Cold by itself may not be enough. Need snow also above us. Surely this season can get any worse.
^^^^^^ That's what I'm talking about. They are calling for 12-20"+ in places North of us.
Do y'all think this is gonna be for real or just a fizzle like 2022 Christmas cold snap? It sucked that year up till the cold but it wasn't anything extra, it just got cold and moved a few dux but nothing great happened.

Ha! Got y'all beat! We've killed 4!You know its actully sad, we are down to hoping that we will get 1-2 days of hunting the last week of a 60 day season. I believe there has been 2 birds killed out of our blind this year.
There's a lot of hype going on. I think cause everyone is so desperate for a good hunt right now. There will be a buttload of dummies out on the WMAs--I dread that. But maybe it will be a good few days before Jan 31. Then again, duck hunting usually has a way of kicking you in the teeth.
There is no thaw in the forecast for West TN. Its barely going to get above freezing before January 23. But that far out is usually yearly average temperatures and not true forecast.Packed and on way in the morning, should arrive at the farm about 9:00 with my fingers crossed. Hope to hunt 5 days and then head back next week at the thaw

I was just responding to Westduckhtr saying the next week he plans to hunt the thaw. By what i can see it will still be frozen solid until January 23-24.It will be 50 degrees the last weekend it never fails..
Well I'll be waiting with a big open hole for them ( that's what she said )I think the ducks are going farther south once the ice hits the fields. We will be locked up by Saturday, so I'm heading to Ar. thursday. I'm hoping the forecast warms up a bit. .
I'd never say it can't get any worse, once it's said, invariably it does indeed get worse. This late in the season, many times they wont push south. They tend to sit tite. Cold by itself may not be enough. Need snow also above us. Surely this season can get any worse.
Yeah I'm not that mad at em'… I'll be inside all day Monday and TuesdayLooks like even with the ice eater running all nite, Monday looks froze out?
